Excellent free utilities that are usually under 50K, lots of information written in an easy-to-understand style, and ways of testing your system and/or connection to see how secure it really is. His stuff is not only useful against attacks by those who fashionably consider themselves "hackers", but also against the backdoor surprises that a lot of commercial software (including some shareware and freeware) have which people often don't know about (i.e., spyware).
