From the 1st of September until 17 September, a new web based artwork will be launched into cyberspace from the MAAP website. The aim of the Missile Web Launch is to showcases innovative web based artworks made by artists and professionals in the Australia, Asia Pacific Region. A selection of 17 quirky and experimental web based artworks from India, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia will unleashed each day highlighting artistic endeavours on the world wide web. Not the Olympics - but the third Multimedia Art Asia Pacific Festival (MAAP). The MAAP2000 Festival gives an alternative screen culture to enjoy during a very busy sports event. Featuring works by professional artists, film makers, designers, animators, web developers and multimedia professionals and critical thinking from new media theorists.
