[Nettime-ro] Balkan Snapshots Festival 2011: Call for Short Films

Balkan Snapshots 2011, taking place 12 to 16 of October in Amsterdam,
Netherlands, is a multidisciplinary festival combining independent film,
theatre, music and artistic performances. Eligible participants are
filmmakers and video artists aged 16 to 35, from or based in Southeastern
Europe: Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece,
Turkey, Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia.

The call envisages three competition categories: documentary, animation and
fiction. Entries must reflect this year’s central theme: The Creative States
of Southeastern Europe. The short films should represent the quest of
Southeastern European creatives to show a diverse collection of utopic
thoughts and creative fantasies, making the impossible possible despite
geographical, social and political limitations.
