<nettime> Dutch Windows weenie sees only attachment |
I'd like to thank Bruce Sterling for pointing out the "begin " trick to me. I've been using "begin %n quotation:" as my attribution line ever since he wrote about it, and it works a charm. Looks like "Microsoft Outlook Express" gets a little trigger-happy on the uuencode headers. I figure after a few years of getting illegible attachments from Microsoft Windows weenies, turnabout is fair play (especially when all I'm sending is ascii text!) Check out my X-headers for some other nice e-mail DoS tricks. ----- Forwarded message from geert lovink <geert@xs4all.nl> ----- From: "geert lovink" <geert@xs4all.nl> To: "Nick Moffitt" <nick@zork.net> Subject: Re: <nettime> jodi, counterjodi digest [(jodi), tanni] Date: Sun, 8 Jul 2001 11:07:12 +1000 X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 5.50.4522.1200 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.50.4522.1200 hi nick, what are you sending me? please send stuff for nettime to nettime-l@bbs.thing.net best, geert (this is already the third mail I got from you with some weird empty attachment) ----- End forwarded message ----- -- You are not entitled to your opinions. 01234567 <- The amazing* indent-o-meter! ^ (*: Indent-o-meter may not actually amaze.) # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: majordomo@bbs.thing.net and "info nettime-l" in the msg body # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@bbs.thing.net
