Sincere apologies for cross posting. On May 13th, 2000 conceptualart.org presented their first real world installation. Utilizing space in a group show originally reserved for and subsequently donated by LeE Montgomery of www.norwoodfunk.com, conceptualart.org constructed a wall inside of the space of Nika Gallery (1243 Appleton Street in SanFrancisco's Presidio). Text on the wall announces the formation of the "versus" mailing list. Shortly after May 13th, a digital image of that wall was placed on the conceptualart.org web site as a touchstone for the internet announcement of the list's formation.
